WWE Interested in Signing FTR?

It seems World Wrestling Entertainment is interested in bringing FTR back into the fold. Get all the details below!

Fightful Select has reported that WWE has expressed interest in signing the current ROH and AAA Tag Team Champions when their contracts expire with All Elite Wrestling. At this time FTR’s contracts are set to expire in the Summer of 2022, although it is worthy to note that FTR’s AEW Contracts have a 1 Year option that may still be activated, thus keeping them where they are. News is expected in the near future as to whether or not FTR will exercise their right and activate this clause in their contracts.

FTR made their debut with AEW back on the May 27th, 2020 episode of Dynamite. FTR wrestled their first match a few weeks later where they defeated The Butcher and The Blade. Furthermore FTR were crowned AEW World Tag Team Champions after defeating Kenny Omega and Hangman Page at AEW All Out in September 2020. In November 2020 The Young Bucks would dethrone FTR as champs ending their short reign after much anticipation.

At this time Dax Harwood and Cash Wheeler of FTR are the current Reigning and Defending ROH World Tag Team Champions and the AAA World Tag Team Champions. In the past several weeks it has been teased that FTR will make a play for the AEW World Tag Team Championship which is currently held by Jurassic Express.

Harwood and Wheeler have been a team since 2014 but have been friends for much longer than that. They both originally competed together as The Mechanics in WWE but would later repackage as The Revival, in which they forged a formidable body of work on the NXT Roster. The Revival would go on to have amazing matches with American Alpha and DIY before being sent up to the main roster in April 2017. While on the main roster The Revival floundered due to inadequate booking, which in the end led them to declining contract extensions worth up to $850,000 before leaving WWE in 2019.

What do you think of this turn of events?

Do you think FTR should consider an offer from WWE? Do you think they should stay in AEW?
