WWE Hall of Famer Pat Patterson Passed Away, Aged 79

Tony Marinaro posted a tweet today (December 2nd) confirming the news.

"Just got a text from my buddy Rodger Brulotte letting me know that legendary wrestler Pat Patterson of @WWE passed away earlier this morning in a Miami hospital. Patterson had cancer. He was 79. Thoughts and prayers go out to his family and friends. RIP. #WWE"

- Tony Marinaro

Pat Patterson was the first Intercontinental Champion and was widely viewed as Vince McMahon's right-hand-man as he served as a WWE producer and creative consultant for many years. He was inducted into the Hall of Fame in 1996. He became the oldest person in history to win a WWE Championship at the age of 78 years old, when he won the WWE 24/7 Championship.

Our thoughts go to his friends and family.
