Update regarding Johnny Gargano's contract status.
New information has been made available regarding the ongoing talks between Johnny Gargano and WWE regarding extending his contract.
Gargano's current contract with WWE is due to come to an end on December 3rd, leaving just over a week for a deal to be made, as of the most recent update, Gargano hasn't re-signed.
The former NXT Champion and first ever NXT Triple Crown Champion is set to take part in a triple threat North American Championship match against Pete Dunne and current reigning champion Carmelo Hayes. Appearing on Wrestling Observer Radio, Dave Meltzer had this to say:
“If Gargano somehow wins, that to me would be a sign that he must have signed a new contract because his deal’s up December 3, and he had not signed as of a couple of days ago. So he would be favoured, unless that changes, he would be favoured to lose in this match – be the one that gets beaten.” - Quote credit: Wrestletalk.com (Wrestletalk transcript)
