Update On Media Rights Deal For Major League Wrestling
Major-League Wrestling are continuing to expand their reach to the masses.
As many of you may recall, on the 4th of July Dave Meltzer reported that there could be a new media rights deal for Major League Wrestling on the horizon.
The report said the new deal would commence sometime in the autumn and it was noted that there is speculation that it had some effect on the company’s July 16 event in Chicago, which has been removed from the schedule.
On The 7th of July, MLW announced a new agreement that expanded its partnership with beIN Sports. The new agreement kicked in on July 8 and the network will air MLW content for free on the beIN Sports Xtra channel every Friday.
Not only that but on the 5th of July it was also reported that MLW would have a UK TV deal with Ayozat TV on SKY.
As MLW expands their footprint in the UK and the US it has since been reported by many media outlets that all these media rights deals are very beneficial to MLW as it will allow the company to grow in key markets, especially on the network’s Spanish feed, including in Los Angeles, San Francisco, Chicago and Texas.
