Two More Names Announced for PWG's Battle of Los Angeles!

With 2022 fast approaching and with it PWG’s Battle of Los Angeles tournament, it is only fitting that the entrant announcements keep on rolling. Yesterday via their official Twitter account PWG announced that JD Drake was the Thirteenth entrant into the iconic tournament.

Drake is a former AWE and GWC Tag Team with Atlanta Wrestling Entertainment as well as a Evolve Tag Team Champion; all with Anthony Henry. Drake is also a former WWN Champion with World Wrestling Network. Then yesterday PWG announced the Fourteenth entrant into the Battle of Los Angeles, none other than ROH’s Rey Horus. The Tweet making the announcement can be seen below.

Rey Horus was last seen wrestling at ROH’s Final Battle this year in a losing effort to Dragon Lee. Rey Horus is a former ROH 6 Man Tag Team Champion along with Bandido and Flamita, as well as a former Gift of the Gods and Trios Champion at Lucha Underground, the latter he held alongside Prince Puma and Rey Mysterio.

The 2022 PWG Battle of Los Angeles Tournament is shaping up to be one of the most anticipated events on the wrestling calendar in the new year. Already the tournament has seen names like JONAH, Alex Shelley, Lio Rush, Bandido, Davey Richards, Daniel Garcia and recently ROH Champion Jonathon Gresham announced as entrants.

The updated BOLA line-up is as follows:

Alex Shelley
Kevin Blackwood
Lio Rush
Black Taurus
Jack Carthwheel
Daniel Garcia
Davey Richards
Lee Moriarty
Jonathan Gresham
JD Drake
Rey Horus

The Battle of Los Angeles tournament is a cornerstone event of the independent wrestling scene in the U.S and is seen as an iconic event and one of the top tournaments in the world. Previously stars like Kenny Omega, Kevin Owens, El Generico, Adam Cole and Ricochet have won the tournament, which propelled their careers to new heights. Can JD Drake or Rey Horus be the next BOLA Winner? Will Rey Horus be forced to face off against former ally and ROH 6 Man Tag Team Champion Bandido? Only time will tell.

What are your thoughts on the BOLA line up so far?

Please stay tuned for further updates relating to the Battle of Los Angeles Tournament, which is set for January 29th and 30th 2022.
