In a video that was posted on the Lucha Libre AAA's YouTube channel this week, between AEW team the Young Bucks, and AAA Mega Champion Hijo del Vikingo hints that there may be an opportunity to see Hijo del Vikingo wrestle outside of Mexico, in an AEW Ring!

The video, which is above, was shot after Triplemania: Monterrey a few weeks ago and sees Vikingo confronted by the Bucks in the locker room. The Bucks go on to taunt the AAA Mega Champion about the absence of his friends and allies, AEW's The Lucha Bros. Both of the Bucks took shots challenging Vikingo, even going so far as to hold his belt before the champ took it back from Matt "Bucks" Jackson before shoving him.

Matt Jackson responded by suggesting that Vikingo head on over to AEW, which got a smile from Vikingo. This prompted Nick "Bucks" Jackson to threaten Vikingo with the possibility of fellow Elite member Kenny Omega making his comeback and retaking the Mega Championship. After the threat The Bucks walked off ending the confrontation.

As many of us know, Kenny Omega was set to defend the AAA Mega Championship against Vikingo at Triplemania: Regia last December but was forced to take time off to heal injuries. Omega has insisted when he's ready to return he will cone back and face the current AAA Mega Champion.

Omega Vacated the title and Vikingo would go on to become champion after defeating Bandido, Samuray del Sol as well as AEW Wrestlers Jay Lethal and Bobby Fish in a 5-Way Match. Vikingo has since defended the title successfully against Johnny Caballero aka WWE's John Morrison as well as Impact Regular and tag team partner Laredo Kid at AAA Rey de Reyes in February this year.

Recently the Young Bucks defeated Vikingo and one half of the Lucha Bros, Rey Fenix in the main event of Triplemania: Monterrey. In an episode of Being the Elite, shot after the event, the Bucks both expressed their wishes to get Vikingo into an AEW Ring. At this time it is unknown if Vikingo can travel and work in the states as he has been working on getting a work visa to work in the USA for years with no luck as yet.

Would you be excited to see Hijo del Vikingo wrestle for AEW?
