Teddy Long Goes One On One With The Current State Of Wrestling
This weekend,The Real Rasslin Podcast hosts Nathan Sinclair & Joel Sorensen had the honor of asking WWE Hall Of Famer Teddy Long about the current state of wrestling.
“With WWE, it’s certainly getting better, I don’t watch it all the time, but I do watch it,” said Long regarding the WWE product. However, he does not believe the current programming is on par with the beloved attitude era.
“The attitude era was the deal. There’s no more attitude era. I see a lot of young talent now. Nobody is selling anything in the ring. You hit a guy, he’s right back up. Nobody knows how to get over, all you have to do is have some good versus evil. It’s just that simple. It is getting a lot better in WWE, but they have to work with those kids and teach them about selling. You have to make yourself believable.”
Teddy had less to say about WWE’s competition. “I heard some talk that was said about me. My thing with AEW is that they aren’t concerned about me, so I am not concerned about them. I don’t watch it.”
