Scorpio Sky signs five year AEW contract extension
The Man of the Year is sticking around.
Scorpio Sky has confirmed that he has been offered and signed a new five year contract extension with All Elite Wrestling, confirming that he will be "All Elite" for some time to come.
in an interview with PW Insider, Sky confirmed the news by saying:
“Working for [Tony Khan] is great,” said Sky. “I love it. He’s always shown faith in me, and it’s something that I’ve really truly appreciated. He saw something in me very, very early on. He still sees it, evident by the contract extension that I just signed so I’m going to be with AEW for a long, long time. A lot of that comes down to Tony Khan and his vision. There’s nothing more I can say about it. Nothing but good things to say about working for a guy like that.”
“I did that right around the time of the (All Out) pay-per-view,” said Sky. “I’m happy to be with AEW for at least five more years.”
Sky has been a regular part of AEW television since teaming up with Ethan Page as Men of the Year, and also aligning themselves with American Top Team, Dan Lambert's MMA group.
Sky was one half of the first ever AEW World Tag Team Champions alongside Frankie Kazarian, and has had a number of opportunities at the TNT Championship, but so far has been unable to add further AEW gold to his collection.
It's great to see AEW retaining their top talents, Scorpio Sky has all the potential to be a main event player. Hopefully, this new contract will give him the time to realise that potential.
