RUSH Confirms knee surgery took place during storyline suspension
Ring of Honor World Champion RUSH recently returned to action and feels better than ever.
In an interview with Justin Barrasso from Soorts Illustrated ahead of ROH Best In The World, RUSH discussed his recent absence from ROH TV:
“It is very exciting for me to wrestle in front of a crowd again. Without the fans, wrestling is nothing. This show is called Best in the World, and I’ll show them why I am the best in the world. That is why I’m ROH champion.
“After my suspension [a story line where I and LFI were suspended for the month of May], I had surgery on my knee. I am now healthy and stronger than before. I’m back with a more powerful mentality, more violence, and I’m ready to cause even more destruction. My desire is to continue to be the best in the world.”
RUSH and his faction, La Faccion Ingobernable had been suspended by Ring Of Honor due to their actions at the 19th Anniversary show, after the group had attacked former ally Amy Rose and continued to use weapons in their matches. This led to their suspension and a sense from TV.
RUSH is currently in his second reign as Ring of Honor World Champion, after claiming the title back from PCO at Gateway to Honor in February of this year.
