Ring of Honor 2022 Return Details Announced!

The hierarchy at Ring of Honor have a game plan and now they have a date set for their epic return after hiatus.

Ring of Honor 2022 Return Details Announced!

Towards the end of 2021 Ring of Honor announced that they would be going on hiatus after Final Battle in December. It was announced that this hiatus would be a rebooting and rebranding process for Ring of Honor and that they were looking to return towards the end of the first quart of 2022.

Now that the new year is upon us, Ring of Honor have reportedly booked a tentative return date. PWInsider broke the news and reported that Ring of Honor are looking to return from hiatus on April 1st 2022, and they are looking to return with a bang as ROH Management are marking this date for Supercard of Honor 2022. It is also noteworthy that this date was picked deliberately as it is the Friday before Wrestlemania 38.

This would be a perfect time for Ring of Honor to re-launch after hiatus as the pro-wrestling community will be at fever pitch levels of excitement for the Biggest Event of the Wrestling Calendar and WWE’s Flagship Annual Event. When it comes down to it, it is a smart business decision to piggyback on the excitement at the time as wrestling fans will be looking to absorb any notable wrestling content to help quench their thirst before WWE’s Showcase of the Immortals.

With Wrestlemania taking place in Arlington, Texas it is thought that Supercard of Honor will presumably take place in Dallas, Texas as a way to capitalise on the excitement and buzz surrounding the biggest period on the wrestling calendar. While there is no concrete information regarding a venue for the annual premier event for Ring of Honor, PWInsider reported that a building was secured before the hiatus, but they have yet to announce it.

With the news of the hiatus late last year, Ring of Honor also announced that it was releasing majority of its roster when it decided to close its doors temporarily. It will be interesting to see how many former Ring of Honor talent from before the hiatus will return and what new faces could possibly emerge under this new rebranding of the iconic independent promotion.
