Impact Knockout's Championship match announced for Impact Hard To Kill 2023

Continuing with the Women's Championship trend, Jordynne Grace will defend her Impact Knockout's World Championship at Hard to Kill 2023 on Friday, January 13th against Mickie James. Impact Wrestling released a statement saying...

"For Jordynne Grace and Mickie James, the stakes have never been higher. Following her successful Knockouts World title defence over Masha Slamovich in a grueling Last Knockout Standing match, Grace has turned her attention towards the legendary Mickie James. For months, James has been working her way through the ranks of the Knockouts Division, in what she called The Last Rodeo. With her career on the line, every match was must-win for "Hardcore Country" . And after her victory over longtime rival Deonna Purrazzo, James was confronted by the reigning Knockouts World Championwho deemed that she had successfully worked her way back to the top. Now two of the greatest Knockouts in IMPACT history are set to colide with both Knockouts World Title and James' career at stake - and something has got to give. Grace vs James, Title vs Career - It all goes down at Hard To Kill."

Eric Young to return to WWE

Speaking of Impact Career's ending, Eric Young is reportedly WWE bound after being written off Impact last night. In a segment that ended the show, Deaner appeared to stab and kill Eric Young, in a move that presumably makes him the new leader of Violent by Design. Eric Young returning to WWE has many wondering if Triple H could be reassemblling SAnitY on the main roster.

Chase Owens to miss the rest of NJPW World Tag League tour

NJPW announced today that Chase Owens and Bad Luck Fale will forfeit the rest of their World Tag League matches due to a death in Owen's family. NJPW has also announced that changes will be made to upcoming shows on the tour to compensate for their being one match less going forward. We at Real Rasslin offer our condolences to Chase Owens and our thoughts are with Owens and his family during this difficult time.

CM Punk Still under contract with AEW

Dave Meltzer reported via the Wrestling Observer Newsletter that CM Punk is still currently under contract with AEW, despite being absent since the All Out Fall Out between him, Kenny Omega and The Young Bucks. There has been speculation that CM Punk might return and enter a programme with The Bucks and Omega, after they seemed to mock him on the November 23rd episode of AEW Dynamite against Death Triangle in Chicago. Meltzer addressed this, stating there's "no chance" of that happening, even going onto say Punk is "ready and willing to move onto his next project" and the hold up in his release is on AEW's side.

That was todays news round up.
