WWE Tag Team Splitting Up?

The breakup of a WWE faction continued to be teased throughout last night’s July 1 edition of WWE Raw as tensions boil over.

Specifically, two members of Judgment Day appear to be at odds more than ever before – former Undisputed WWE Tag Team Champions Damian Priest and Finn Balor.

Early on in the show, Damian Priest was shown backstage talking with Dominik Mysterio, and Priest informed Mysterio that he spoke to Rhea Ripley recently, and she’s “pissed” about what’s happening between Mysterio and Liv Morgan.

Speaking of Morgan, the real issue came when Priest headed to Judgment Day’s hangout room and Morgan was there with the others.

Priest told Finn Balor that it’s not okay for Morgan to be there, but Balor took Morgan’s side, citing the fact that she helped Balor and JD McDonagh win the World Tag Team Championship last week.

Balor told Priest that he’s “changed” since becoming World Heavyweight Champion, and there were clearly issues between them.

Later in an in-ring segment, Seth Rollins would be interrupted by Finn Balor who was then interrupted by Damian Priest.

Priest was unamused with Balor interrupting Rollins, telling Balor that he shouldn’t even be getting involved in the issues between Priest and Rollins.

When the exchange turned physical and Balor attacked Rollins, Priest pulled Balor away, telling him that he didn’t need help to fight his own fight.

There would go on to be a short brawl that ended with Rollins kicking both Priest and Balor in the face, although Priest did land a South of Heaven on Rollins to end the segment.

In a scene after the commercial break, Priest was shown telling Finn Balor backstage yet again that he planned to beat Rollins by himself at Money in the Bank on Saturday, July 6 and told Balor not to get involved.

Notably the stipulation on this Saturday’s WWE World Heavyweight Championship match pitting Priest against Rollins is that if Rollins wins, Priest has to quit Judgment Day.

However, if Priest wins, Rollins never gets another title shot for as long as Damian Priest is champion.
