WWE STAR RELEASED, DIDN’T WANT TO WORK WITH VINCE MCMAHON

A WWE superstar has reportedly been let go from the company after his request to be released was granted not long after he resigned.

Fightful Select shared the details of a departure that has been heavily rumored this week, and now confirmed.

Eric Young was released by WWE in April 2020 along with a whole host of other names, but he re-signed with the company in November 2022 and never re-appeared on-screen.

According to Fightful Select, Eric Young requested his release from WWE in April 2023, the request was granted, and the 90-day non-compete clause expired last week.

The report states that Eric Young did not want to work with Vince McMahon and requested his release after it was clear Vince McMahon would be back involved when WWE’s deal with Endeavor was announced.

Sources told Fightful that Eric Young didn’t want to work with Vince McMahon for “moral, creative and personal” reasons.

There were some creative plans in place for his return to WWE TV after WrestleMania, but those didn’t come to be.

Eric Young returned to IMPACT at Slammiversary tonight.
