WWE Star Pitches Return Of Two Former Stars

Ahead of the WWE Clash At The Castle premium live event, Chelsea Green has pitched the return of Matt Cardona and Steph De Lander.

At WWE Royal Rumble 2023, Chelsea Green made her return to the company. Since then, Green has become one of the most entertaining characters on the company’s programming.

Also, fans have been buzzing about the possibility of Chelsea’s husband Matt Cardona making his return to the promotion as well.

Cardona, who had a lengthy stint in WWE as Zack Ryder, has remained active on the independent scene as a top star for various companies, such as GCW.

Speaking with Gorilla Position, Chelsea Green was asked whether fans could expect to see Matt Cardona return to WWE. She answered:

“I hope so. [Asked if Cardona would be her valet] No, I actually think I don’t want him anywhere near me in wrestling.”

“We had a long two years together. We lived together, we wrestled together, we rode together.”

“[Asked if it was too much] Have you ever lived, worked, and drove and flew with your [spouse]? Exactly. You should try it one day.”

“You’d know, you would never ask me that question. My husband is very high-strung, very, and we go about life differently.”

“I’m an easygoing, easy-breezy girl. He is not an easy breezy girl. [Laughs] He is not at all.”

“He is actually the opposite of an easy-breezy girl. So I would like him back, and then I would like him to be with Steph De Lander,”

Matt Cardona is currently recovering from a torn pec injury. He recently became the General Manager of Game Changer Wrestling.

Meanwhile, Chelsea Green appeared in the corner of her tag team partner Piper Niven in her loss to Bayley for the WWE Women’s Championship at WWE Clash At The Castle.
