With WWE moving to Netflix in many international markets on January 6, a new update has emerged regarding archival content coming to the platform.
Recently, it was reported that Big E would be hosting a new Netflix series titled WWE RAW Classics, with WWE Top 10, Road To WrestleMania, Superstar Profiles and Legend Profiles all also revealed
Now, three new listings have been spotted on the streaming platform, indicating that archival content will be coming to the platform from Raw, SmackDown and NXT.
Firstly ‘WWE Raw Vault’ is listed as covering the “groundbreaking in-ring series highlights over three decades of unforgettable matches, moments and Superstar-studded episodes.”
‘WWE SmackDown Vault’ takes use “from Attitude Era origins to the modern day” with “these matches and milestones spanning over 25 years (reinforcing) what it means to lay the SmackDown in WWE.”
Finally, ‘WWE NXT Vault’ follows the same archive formula bringing us “the next generation of Superstars” as they “step forward in Premium Live Events, classic encounters and TakeOvers that define this trailblazing in-ring series.”
There’s also a listing for “Raw is Netflix” and “Best of Raw 2024” which notes that they are coming on Wednesday, January 8.
As well as these listings and the new shows previously mentioned, many WWE PLEs also have individual listings on Netflix – ranging from WrestleMania and SummerSlam to Fully Loaded and In Your House, which are also set to become available on January 8.
These listings are all visible on Netflix in the UK, with NXT and SmackDown Vault not available to US viewers due to archival content being available on Peacock.
It was previously reported that a large amount of WWE Network content wouldn’t initially be making its way to Netflix.
We will continue to provide updates on WWE’s move to Netflix as the Raw premiere approaches.
I am looking forward to this move and see what other WWE content will be added to Netflix on the international market
