On Saturday TNT put on another double header at Fusion in Liverpool. This is what went down on the afternoon show.
TNT IGNITION WOMENS TITLE
NO1 CONTENDER MATCH
IVY VS ZIZI
The 1st of 15 matches over 2 shows saw Karen, I mean Ivy take on Zizi to crown the next challenger to the winner of the Deathmatch between Kasey and Lucy Sky that evening.
Whether it was stalling or mind games, Ivy putting in a complaint against everyone in Fusion was enough of a distraction to give her the advantage over Zizi.
The 6 foot 20 year old already has 3 years under her belt and now she’s getting a shot at the TNT Ignition Women’s Title after having her hand raised here.
MAN LIKE DEREISS VS RHIO
This match split the crowd at Fusion as both are used to hearing nothing but cheers.
Dereiss was thrown off his game as he tried to get the advantage numerous ways but was outsmarted by the current Progress Women’s Champion.
It looked like Rhio had this one won on a few occasions and MLD will be relieved to get out with the win.
LYKOS GYM/RPD VS TEMPLE OF MALUM
BritWres 2024 winner RP Davies was taken out at the start of the match. The numbers advantage for Temple of Malum meant Lykos Gym had to make numerous last ditch saves for each other.
RPD returned at the end of the match but the damage was done and Temple of Malum pulled off a big win on a weekend Lykos Gym will want to forget in a hurry.
I managed to interview RP Davies after the show and will release it next week.
SENZA VOLTO VS JIMMY JACKSON VS JUDAS GREY
Lady Gaga’s ‘Judas’ hit which meant Grey was on his way out. He got lots of abuse from the crowd and seemed to revel in it.
I’ve seen Senza Volto before at Rev Pro and enjoyed his work then and was hoping he’d win this 3 way.
Jimmy Jackson continues to get in the reps at TNT but it was the man from France who got his hand raised. This set him up to challenge Dereiss for the Ultra X Title at Summer Explosion that evening.
BUSSY VS FTM
This was the match I was most looking forward to and not just because of Bussy. Critchy is quite a character to watch.
After going back and forth with members of the crowd he said if FTM win then he gets to take Allie Katch to Nandos. I can’t believe I wanted Bussy to lose and to see the footage of that date.
Katch and Critchy ended up in the ring together a few times with Critchy putting on a wrist lock and kissing her hand.
When Allie had the advantage he didn’t seem to be urgently trying to get out of the way as she threw her body behind everything.
The end came when Allie had McColl on his shoulders and Effy hit a leg drop.
TNT IGNITION TITLE
MVK VS JAY JOSHUA
Joshua had to wait for his shot. He was meant to get it last month but MVK got injured in the early show that day.
Jay had more time to scout his opponent and it showed in the early going. MVK took it to the outside of the ring and Joshua was more than happy to mix it up.
The 2 men traded power moves throughout until MVK came out victorious.
After the match MVK took a mic and asked who was next. Tom Thelwell’s catchy music hit as he made his way out. He’s got an ankle injury at the moment but accepted the challenge for a future date. MVK threatened to wreck his other ankle.
This was an enjoyable show. There was well over 100 fans and for those traveling it becomes worth the travel to take in 2 shows in 1 day.
