Following her surprise debut, Shawn Michaels has commented on TNA Knockouts Champion Jordynne Grace’s WWE NXT appearance.
On the May 28 edition of WWE NXT, TNA Knockouts Champion Jordynne Grace was revealed as Roxanne Perez’s NXT Battleground opponent for the NXT Women’s Championship.
As previously reported, this reveal came as a “legitimate surprise” to current NXT Women’s Champion Roxanne Perez.
During a recent interview with Adrian Hernandez, Shawn Michaels revealed what led to Grace’s debut on WWE NXT. He said:
“I’ve been very public about being a fan of Jordynne Grace. I expressed to Hunter privately that I was very jealous that he had her for the Rumble. And he owed me one, he owed me a big one,”
Michaels previously stated that he’d “always wondered if (Grace) would be interested in coming to NXT during the NXT Vengeance Day conference call following Jordynne’s WWE debut at the Royal Rumble.
On her upcoming NXT in-ring debut on the June 3 episode and her title match at NXT Battleground, Michaels said:
“We’re thrilled to have her for Battleground and we’re thrilled to have her next week.”
Jordynne Grace will face Stevie Turner in her WWE singles debut on the June 3 edition of NXT.
