Well we started off with MJF announced as the American Champion. This story should have been done near the beginning of the month. MJF runs when Ospreay comes out. Their back and forth is alright. MJF does make two bad teeth "jokes". This takes us into the first match.
Lance starts the match with a massive chokeslam. Did not expect that. Lance Archer then dominated the early goings in the match. If we look at how both competitors are book we know the outcome here. Ospreay missed his dive outside and Archer grabbed the throat. Archer slams Ospreay down with a body slam. Archer heels it up with a fan wearing a Bruv shirt. Ospreay goes for a Hidden Blade but got a lariat instead. Lance is in good form tonight and showing how he is a nimble big man. When Ospreay does get the Hidden Blade Archer is not able to kick out. The winner Will Ospreay. Nice soldi match that did play into TK's style of match where the babyface gets like 10% offense in. MJF attacked after the match. Kyle Fletcher stopped the attack. The Fletchlings are happy. Both of Kyle Fletcher's new tattoos can be seen. Don Callis is also out. Fletcher did cut a decent promo. 2/3 of the people in that ring during the promo are tremendous athletes.
Yet again another stupid eliminator match. Greart that Kris Statlander and Willow Nightingale can still be on TV and it not revolve around an AEW title. Statlander starts with a drop kick from the top rope. Both matches have started with massive moves. Kris Statlander does not get to dominate like Lance Archer did though. Willow tried to end it early with a fisherman suplex. Willow did a cannonball but hit the guardrail. Electric Chair and ax kick combo got Statlander a near fall. Willow delivered a massive Death Valley Driver on the apron before shaking Stokely Hathaway. Statlander was able to take advantage of the distraction. Statlander did a 450 splash for a near fall. Kris Statlander using a gold chain gets the victory. Another attack after the match.
I feel like we need Nigel McGuiness on commentary for this segment. We need some clam digger name calling to entertain me. Just not fun when all three commentators praise an athlete. Fans chanted Bri because Danielson mentioned them taking engagement photos in Greenville, South Carolina. Bryan openly admits that his contract is up tomorrow. Supposedly this would be his last contract. Bryan Danielson did the typical vow to win. The que for Swerve to come out. Swerve did the usual interruption promo. Boring. Bryan does make it a Title v Career Match which still does not make it interesting to me.
El Torro Blanco and The Beast Mortos should be a regular tag team. A mismatch or competitors on both sides. I knoe the Conglomeration is a stable but still does not make sense to me. Orange Cassidye and Beast Mortos plays matador to start the match. Then Orange does a long spinning DDT. Mortos then spears. Ishii and Mortos then start beating away on each other. Rush and Ishii then take their turn in the sun. Another just exchanging of powerful blows. Ishii then gets a turn to rest as Mark Briscoe then takes over. It is just a series of each competitor hitting big moves. Blockbuster by Briscoe onto Roderick Strong punctuates the time to let each man shine. Unfrotunately for those watchig on TBS Rush gets to do his tranquilo in picture in picture. ORange Cassidy is the one reveceiving the beat down. He does tag in Briscoe who slaps Rush and Mortos as Strong stays on the outside. Blind tag by Strong. Froggybow nearly gets the win. Rush hits his target as he jumps to the outside diving over the top rope. Tiger driver from Strong to Ishii almost ended the match. Another series of where the wrestlers gets their moves in. Jaydriller amost hit but The Beast Mortos stops it. The Beast Mortos wins the match for his team.
This was a waste of air. It added nothing to the program the two amazing ladies are having. IT was followed by a squash match featuring Kamille.
Mone did a good job of pushing her egotism. Kamille's squash match did good to build her as Mercedes Mone's muscle. Again another promo that to me could ahve been left undone.
Not a first time ever but a first time on Dynamite match. Darby kicks it off witht he offense. Hangman catches Darby when he goes for a coffin drop and turns it into a German suplex on the outside. Bryce Remsburg distracts Hangamn allowing Darby to climb to the top of the set and deliver a Coffin Drop. Obviously the ref forgot how to count or this would be a double count out. The lights went out that were covering the ring. When there were restored, Hangman did a quick claw on Darby and threw him into the steps. Hangman catches Darby as he goes for a crossbody. This starts an assault on the back of Darby Allin. Fallaway slam into the steps. Hangman delivers another Fallaway slam from the top rope. Darby can take loads of pain. Darby plays opossum to trick Page onto the steps. Darby does a flying shoulder tackle thru the ropes. Darby takes off his belt and starts to whip Adam Page. Darby almost wins with a Code Red. Hangman catches a Coffin Drop into a rear naked choke. Darby attempted a Buckshot Lariat. Several Deadeyes cause Darby to be "out on his feet". Darby seeminly steals a win. Hangman picked Darby up but Darby used the arm to take down and hit a quick pin.
The below is a Twitter exclusive that accompanied Dynamite.
