Mercedes Mone Issues Huge Challenge For AEW Double Or Nothing

We at Real Rasslin have come to learn.

Mercedes Mone, who use to be known as Sasha Banks during her WWE tenure, made a resounding statement by setting her sights on the coveted TBS Championship on the latest episode of AEW Dynamite.

Interrupting Stokely Hathaway’s post-promo conversation with Willow Nightingale, Mercedes Mone took centre stage to assert her upcoming challenge for the championship at AEW Double Or Nothing in Las Vegas next month, declaring, “because in Vegas, money changes everything.” Mercedes Mone will challenge either Julia Hart or Willow Nightingale at the event on May 26th.

Julia Hart, the current TBS titleholder, has maintained her reign since securing the championship in a three-way match at AEW Full Gear in November and will defend her title against Willow Nightingale at AEW Dynasty on April 21st. Notably, Mercedes Mone and Julia Hart have yet to face each other in the ring, adding an extra layer of anticipation to this impending showdown.

What Did Mercedes Mone Say About AEW Recently?

Mercedes Mone declared that AEW is the “best wrestling company in the whole world.” Mercedes Mone spoke passionately in an interview about how she is excited to make her in-ring return following a near career-ending injury she suffered during an NJPW match against Willow Nightingale on May 21st 2023.

She went on to say that she is ready to be “All Elite” as AEW is the best wrestling organisation in the world and can’t wait to step into the ring with women from all around the globe.
