We at Real Rasslin have come to learn.
Having not been seen in AEW since AEW All In last August, Jack Perry has now made his pro wrestling return... for New Japan Pro-Wrestling.
The former Jungle Boy appeared at last night's NJPW Battle in the Valley, where he laid out Shota Umino. That came after Shota Umino, Jacob Fatu, and Fred Rosser had beaten Tom Lawlor, Royce Isaacs, and Jorel Nelson, with Shota Umino attacked by a masked man who would reveal themselves to be Jack Perry.
Jack Perry would then pull out an AEW contract, tear it up, and also don an armband that read "scapegoat".
Of course, the last time we saw Jack Perry was at All In, where he lost to Hook on the Zero Hour pre-show and quipped about "real glass" and "cry me a river". That was immediately followed by a backstage altercation with CM Punk that had Tony Khan fearing for his life and that ultimately led to the AEW exit of the Second City Saint. CM Punk has since gone on to return to WWE and is a heavy favourite to win the men's Royal Rumble later this month and headline the first night of WrestleMania XL against Seth Rollins.
