CJ Perry Undergoes Surgery Following Hospital Admission

AEW’s superstar CJ Perry has recently been treated for an infection following many days spent in hospital.

On December 16th, CJ Perry gave an update via social media that she had been admitted to a hospital in San Fernando, California due to an infection that had travelled from her finger to her arm. As a result, CJ Perry was unable to make a previously scheduled appearance at a CMLL event alongside Andrade El Idolo.

In a further update on December 18th, CJ Perry stated that after being evaluated over 2 days, the infection had gotten worse and she would require surgery:

“I have been in the ER and hospital for over 50 hours. The infection has gotten worse and I’m going into surgery tonight. Please keep me in your thoughts and prayers. I love you all”

When Did CJ Perry Last Wrestle?

Despite CJ Perry making her shock debut for AEW at All Out 2023, CJ Perry has yet to have a match in the promotion. CJ Perry’s last match took place in WWE when the AEW superstar was known as Lana. Her final match with the company saw her team with Naomi lose to the team of Dana Brooke and Mandy Rose. Since becoming All Elite, CJ Perry has focused her efforts on her managerial services.

Following the surprise debut, CJ Perry stated that she intended to return to her roots of being a cold-hearted manager:

“Last week at All Out, all I wanted to do was surprise you and prove that I have your back to help you become champion again.

God, you are so stubborn. Not the good stubborn, the bad stubborn. Now that I think about it, you truly have forsaken your god, your gold, and your hot, flexible wife.

Oh, Miro, you really want to go down this path? I respect that. But I’m gonna have to go down mine. I’m so torn, so torn. I sat on the sidelines for two years, tearing myself down, breaking myself apart, and asking myself do I have what it takes.

Every fabric of my being is yelling, ‘Don’t leave until you find out.’ I once was the coldest manager in all of wrestling, and I think I want to do it again.”

Everyone at Real Rasslin would like to wish CJ Perry a full and speedy recovery.
