BIG AEW NAME’S CONTRACT EXPIRING SOON

Jim Ross has revealed how much time he has left on his AEW contract and hinted at plans for the future.

During a recent episode of Grilling JR, Jim Ross discussed his recovery from injury and opened up about how long he’ll be away from AEW television.

In the episode, he would also discuss his AEW contract length, revealing:

“I will be back. I will continue working. My contract with AEW is still in place.

“I don’t have a lot of time left on it, but I’ve got enough. I’m not concerned about that.”

In April 2019, Jim Ross signed a three-year contract with AEW with a “year and a half” extension being reportedly signed in May 2022.

Speaking on future plans in AEW and beyond, Jim Ross would go on to say:

“Either I’m retained, or I’m not. I’m just gonna take it a day at a time and see how it works out.

“But I enjoy working for AEW. It’s fun to be part of a startup. I said that when I was hired.

“It’s great to see all these young guys start to come into their own, and I’d love to be there for the rest of the journey to help guide them along the way, almost in a talent relations type situation. I enjoy helping these kids”

Jim Ross last appeared at the debut of AEW Collision on June 17th, after having a fall earlier that day that affected his ability to deliver commentary during the main event.

While Jim Ross has stated that he will return to AEW television, the WWE Hall of Famer doesn’t have a return date in mind.

He has, however, said that he’s going to be more mindful of his health in what he describes as “trying to live a young man’s life in a young man’s business.”
