Former AEW name Arn Anderson has addressed a potential WWE return as Undisputed WWE Champion Cody Rhodes’ manager.
During his time in All Elite Wrestling, Arn Anderson served as a coach for “The American Nightmare” Cody Rhodes, leading him to three reigns as TNT Champion
In 2022, Rhodes left AEW and went on to return to WWE at WrestleMania 38. Two years later, Cody defeated Roman Reigns to win the Undisputed WWE Championship in the main event of WrestleMania 40 Night Two.
As previously reported, Arn Anderson announced that he was finishing up with AEW after five years with the company. This news followed Rhodes alluding to wanting “the classic pro wrestling manager” during this reign in WWE.
Speaking on Busted Open Radio, Arn Anderson addressed Cody Rhodes’ comment and the potential of a WWE return for the Hall of Famer. He said:
“I wonder what that was about. What was he setting me up for in that deal? I did [hear what Rhodes said], and I was very humbled and appreciative, and he allowed me to have some fun on my way out, which I thought I was way past that,”
“So I was very appreciative of that.”
On potentially returning to WWE to reunite with Rhodes, Arn replied:
“Well, in case you don’t know, I am 65, and my liver is 127. I am on short time, and I don’t have a lot of time.”
“Would I come back in the right situation for a short-term something with Cody? If anybody out there thinks it’s a good idea, let me know. I don’t know.”
“That would be something because he and I have never had that conversation. We had a couple texts back and forth, and it never came up. So I went, maybe that was just him testing the waters himself.”
It remains to be seen what Arn Anderson’s next move in the pro wrestling industry will be at the time of this writing.
Cody Rhodes is set to appear on last night’s June 7 episode of WWE SmackDown to address AJ Styles’ fake retirement from last week.
