Anthony Bowens Names ‘National Scissoring Day’ A Highlight Of AEW Run

Anthony Bowens has enjoyed quite the run with AEW, but it was last year’s ‘National Scissoring Day’ that stands out for the former Tag Team Champion.

Two weeks after Anthony Bowens and Max Caster captured the titles, The Acclaimed threw a celebration on National Scissoring Day alongside ‘Daddy Ass’ Billy Gunn.

Speaking to “Chrissy Chaos,” Anthony Bowens spoke fondly of the celebration. He said,

“It was one of my favorite things we have ever done I think in my career. It was trending all day and people were just going absolutely crazy. They had their custom scissors, Billy presented us with the golden scissors of the city. I was very proud of this.” 

“I think we get so much more mileage out of it having fun with my catchphrases. I don’t think there’s any better power and feeling when I scream, “Everyone loves,’ and I don’t have to say, ‘The Acclaimed’ and I have 10,000 people finish it for me, insane.”

Anthony Bowens and Max Caster would lose the AEW World Tag Team Championships to The Gunns in February of this year.
