AEW star Chris Jericho has addressed a potential return to WWE, six years on from his last match in the company.
Following a Hall of Fame worthy career in the WWE, Chris Jericho jumped ship to AEW upon the company’s inception in 2019, becoming the first AEW World Champion and continuing to be an ever-present fixture on TV in the five years since.
However, given his near two decade association with WWE many fans have often pondered whether Jericho could return to the company before his career’s end.
Speaking to Comic book Nation, Jericho addressed a potential WWE return now that Vince McMahon was no longer in charge, to which he answered:
“I mean, I enjoyed working there in the past, and I could probably work there in the future as well, so we’ll see. To me, business is business. But I enjoy working with AEW, I enjoy all that we’ve accomplished since day one, especially now with the new TV deal.
“We did what we set out to do, which was to change the course of wrestling history, and Tony (Khan) and I and all of us have done that, so it’s a pretty cool kind of a f*ck you to everybody that didn’t think we could do it.”
I would love to see Jericho return to WWE at some point but don't see it at this time due him enjoying his time at AEW
We at Real Rasslin would like your thoughts on whether you think that Chris Jericho will make a return to WWE in the future
