AEW’s Sonjay Dutt has revealed that he has had a reverse total shoulder replacement, opening up about his procedure.
The AEW producer took to Twitter to reveal that he’s currently recovering from shoulder surgery, after undergoing a procedure last week.
Sonjay Dutt wrote:
“After dealing with a myriad of shoulder issues for the better part of the last 2 decades, I started my journey to get fixed.
“Last week, I underwent surgery, receiving a reverse total shoulder replacement. Been extremely relaxing mentally/physically, but I’m so excited for my future!”
Dutt hasn’t wrestled in over a year, with the AEW name last competing on the February 15 Dynamite episode.
During this show, Dutt teamed with Jay Lethal, Jeff Jarrett & Satnam Singh in a losing effort against Billy Gunn, Orange Cassidy & The Acclaimed (Anthony Bowens & Max Caster).
The former TNA X-Division Champion currently works as a producer behind the scenes.
The AEW landscape has changed recently, with major feuds receiving new chapters during the September 7 All Out pay-per-view, ahead of the September 25 Grand Slam specials.
