Adam Cole is to face a lengthy recovery after breaking his ankle in three places during last week’s AEW Dynamite Grand Slam event.
After the Dynamite Grand Slam event, Adam Cole went to hospital due to an injury he suffered during the show. Now on the latest episode of Dynamite, Adam Cole appeared alongside MJF for an in-ring promo. Despite wearing a cast on his leg and relying on crutches, he addressed the audience, expressing his need for surgery and promising to return as soon as possible.
During the segment, Adam Cole and MJF were discussing their plans to relinquish the Ring of Honor Tag Team titles when MJF interrupted, claiming responsibility for Adam Cole’s injury. Instead of giving up the titles, MJF proposed defending them by himself in a handicap match at the upcoming AEW WrestleDream event.
The segment took an unexpected turn when Roderick Strong entered the ring, expressing his support for Adam Cole and urging him to reconsider. Adam Cole eventually left with Roderick Strong and The Kingdom, while Jay White made his entrance. Jay White and MJF engaged in a heated verbal exchange, with Jay White vowing to take away MJF’s AEW World Championship.
Adding to the news, Adam Cole’s girlfriend, Britt Baker, shared images and x-rays of his broken ankle on social media platform X, shedding light on the severity of the injury.
Fans and fellow wrestlers alike are sending their best wishes to Adam Cole, hoping for a successful surgery and a speedy recovery.
