NWA planning to introduce a new title for women's division

Hot off the heels of announcing the revival of the United States Tag Team Championships, the NWA is back at it again with plans to introduce a new championship to the women's division.

With details from Mike Johnson of PWInsider, the NWA are set to announce the new "Women's Television Championship" during this weeks episode of NWA POWERRR. The belt is being designed by Dave Millican and NWA Owner, Billy Corgan.

Johnson followed up stating that it's unclear when the championship will be added into storylines, but it is entirely possible it could happen as soon as the upcoming NWA 74 PPV on 27th August, and how the title could be used to push Allysin Kay.

The NWA Men's Television Championship has the "Lucky Seven" rule, which means the champion has the right to challenge for the world title by relinquishing the TV title. It's unknown whether the women's version of this championship will also have this stipulation, but it would make sense if it did.

Undoubtedly, the women wrestlers of NWA deserve a second championship, but what do you think of this? Are you happy with it being a TV championship, or would you prefer something different? Let us know in the space below!
