NJPW Talent Advances to All Atlantic Championship Final at Forbidden Door!

NJPW Mainstay, Tomohiro Ishii has advanced to the AEW All Atlantic Championship Final as NJPW’s representative at AEW x NJPW Forbidden Door.Ishii defeated Clark Connors during this past Tuesday’s New Japan Road Show to secure his spot in the final for this Sundays huge cross-ever pay per view event. Ishii earned his spot in the qualifying match after he defeated Yoshimizu Kanemaru. 

Ishii joins AEW Talent Pac and Miro, who have already qualified for the title match. The final challenger for the newly created championship will be decided on this week’s edition Dynamite, where Malakai Black is set to take on Penta Oscuro for a place in the final.

Forbidden Door is shaping up to be a historic night for both AEW and NJPW as several new champions will be crowned on the show. Alongside the crowning of the very first AEW All Atlantic Champion, we will also see Jon Moxley face off against Hiroshi Tanahashi to see who will become the interim AEW World Chamkpion after previous champion CM Punk was injured recently. Forbidden Door will also see FTR, United Empire & Roppongi Vice face off in a ROH & IWGP Tag Team Title Winner Takes All match.

Other notable title matches slated for the event include Will Ospreay vs Orange Cassidy for the IWGP US Championship and Thunder Rosa vs Toni Storm for the AEW Women’s Championship.
