December 11th marks the "End of an Era" for Ring of Honor as we enter their Final Battle pay-per-view, the title being synonymous with both the last PPV of the year for Ring of Honor, but sadly, also the last show for the foreseeable future, until it's expected return in the first quarter of 2022.

This PPV is already stacking up to be a great card with matches such as Bandido Vs Jonathan Gresham for the ROH World Championship, The OGK vs The Briscoes for the Tag Team Championship and many more. One match on the card was the ROH Pure Championship match between current reigning champion Josh Woods and another unknown competitor.

Unknown at least, until now, as it has been confirmed via Ring of Honor's website that Brian "The Mecca" Johnson will take on Josh Woods for the ROH Pure Championship at Final Battle: End of an Era. As of late, Johnson has been working his way up the ladder of the Pure division, winning the gauntlet match, defeating such veteran names as John Walters and PJ Black in Pure rules matches, proving his ability.

Josh Woods won the championship in a fierce match against Jonathan Gresham earlier this year, but do you think he will retain at Final Battle: End of an Era? Let us know in the comments!
