Second title change of the night

New NWA Junior Heavyweight Champion Crowned at NWA Crockett Cup

In the culmination of the NWA Junior Heavyweight Championship Tournament that has been running on NWA USA since January, Colby Corino, Homicide, Austin Aries, and Darius Lockhart squared off for the newly revived Championship.

In a fact paced and highly entertaining match, each man had chances to take the title, but it was Homicide who emerged victorious and became the new NWA Junior Heavyweight Champion.

The Championship has been vacant since 2017, and Billy Corgan recently decided to revive it and give it a design very similar to the second NWA World Heavyweight Title design.

The first ever Junior Heavyweight Champion was Ken Fenelon, and he is honoured on the belt with a sideplate bearing his initials, as well as one for Buddy Rogers also.
