New National Heavyweight Champion Crowned at NWA Crockett Cup
The first title change of the night
At Night Two of the NWA Crockett Cup, NWA National Heavyweight Champion, Anthony Mayweather (formerly Crimson) defended the title against Jax Dane.
In a hard hitting and brutal match, Dane would continuously focus on the knee of Mayweather, but despite all this, Mayweather was able to lock in an armbar and force Dane to tap out, retaining his title.
However, as Mayweather was being helped to the back, Dane would give chase and continue to attack the injured knee, taking a spare turnbuckle to it and repeatedly smashing the knee.
As a result of being on the winning team of the Champions Series some months back, Dane had a guaranteed "Golden Ticket" title shot waiting for him, and after causing damage to his former War Kings tag team partner, he cashed in this title shot, and pinned Mayweather after a huge Lariat to become the new National Heavyweight Champion.
