New names given to NXT talents, commentary team informed not to reference NXT star's father
The latest news coming out of NXT
NXT talent's who did not make their debut on the rebranded NXT have had some of their names changed by WWE. WWE recently filed a trademark for the names Lash Legend and Dante Chase and we haven't had to wait long to find out who they will be.
Lash Legend has been given to former WNBA player Anriel Howard. People watching the new NXT will have seen her in a brief backstage segment but she wasn't introduced.
Dante Chase is the new name of Sean Tan who is the first Singaporean WWE talent.
WWE is also potentially filing a trademark for Malik Blade which is rumoured to be given to Josh Dawkins. Dawkins is the son of former NBA legend Darryl Dawkins, and he has been trained by none other than D-Von Dudley.
Other name changes include Parker Boudreaux who will now be known as Harland and Bronson Rechsteiner who will now be known as Bron Breakker.
Speaking of Bron Breakker, it has emerged that the NXT commentary team has been banned from mentioning that he is the son of WWE Legend Rick Steiner. This is an unusual move as Bron dresses in very similar attire to that of Rick Steiner during his tenure in WWE. This explains why he is no longer going by the name Rex Steiner, like was originally planned, although it didn't stop Vic Joseph from saying 'Dog Faced Gremlin' which was a nickname of Rick Steiner in the past.
