New details emerge on OVW Netflix deal
Around a month ago, it was announced that OVW (Ohio Valley Wrestling) had landed a deal with US based streaming service Netflix for a show in the format of a reality tv series. Since then it has been revealed that this deal could have bigger implications for the world of professional wrestling.
Coming straight from Fightful's Sean Ross Sapp, Netflix have the right to first refusal when it comes to OVW making any further television deals.
Sapp continues stating that this is a big deal because Netflix is currently making plans to enter the field of live streaming their content in the future. If done correctly this could of course pull in larger companies (AEW, WWE, Impact! etc) in the future.
Do you think this deal will open the doors for Netflix to become a source of live wrestling content in the future? Let us know below!
