It’s safe to say Mustafa Ali’s run in WWE has been nothing short of A downward spiral with little success to speak of.

Ali had a brief period where he seemed to be getting a decent push to become a top star on SmackDown before an injury brought that dream to a holt.

After such time from his return from injury he wanted to gain some RETRIBUTION for what had happened to him in his WWE career so far. Unfortunately that wasn’t going to last after losing a series of matches in under three minutes on SmackDown.

in January, Ali announced via Twitter that he had requested his release from WWE after not wrestling since October. He reportedly had a heated disagreement with Vince McMahon about his creative direction and basically was sitting out for the past six months.

It seems as though Ali’s luck has finally changed because on Monday Ali interrupted a Miz TV segment with Theory, returning to the company he publicly wanted to leave. The heels wasted no time in referencing Mustafa's discontent with WWE, but fans were firmly behind the returning superstar, especially once he tried to goad Theory into an open challenge for his United States Championship.

Even though Ali did not get his wish this then lead to an impromptu match against Miz, which  what is the first match he had won in the past eight months, it was safe to say it was a long time coming.

It will be interesting to see what happens next with Ali and let’s hope he gets the push he deserves after the ups and downs he has had in his current WWE run.
