MLW streaming deal with Fox could be in jeopardy
Some reports have come out that Major League Wrestling's streaming deal with the Fox network could be a problem, this is mainly due to WWE expressing their dislike of this deal, even though Fox's streaming service is not the official home for the WWE Network within the US as the current contract lies with Peacock.
Fox weren't originally looking to add professional wrestling to the streaming service until the deal for Major League Wrestling became available.
The deal that both parties had come to terms with was set to be announced for August of this year, but unfortunately due to the negative response from WWE themselves in regards to the deal, it has now been put on hold.
In August of this year MLW had taken steps to prepare for the deal by removing episodes of Fusion from their YouTube channel. At the time PW Insider had noted that the deal itself was a big one for the promotion, but that now depends on if Fox and MLW can come to terms with a new deal and whether WWE will block it again.
What do you guys think of this news? Does WWE really have the right to prevent Fox having a deal with MLW?
