Matt Striker "Done" with Impact Wrestling!

Impact Wrestling and Matt Striker have parted ways. PWInsider reporter Mike Johnson reported that Striker, who has been working as an Impact Announcer, shared the news publicly over Twitter before he subsequently deleted the original Tweet where he stated that his time with the promotion was “done”.

Matt Striker Tweeted the following before deleting it.

“I am disappointed that my time with #ImpactonAXSTV is done.  I REALLY enjoyed that locker room.  Thanks for allowing me to tell your story.  Thanks, everyone.  Stay safe.”

Working alongside D’Lo Brown, Matt Striker had been working as the lead commentator on Impact Wrestling, a position which he commenced at the Hard to Kill Pay Per View in January 2021. At this time there has been no confirmation as to who will replace Striker, especially considering Impact is slated for Hard to Kill 2022 this coming weekend.

Matt Striker has had the pleasure of having quite a varied career within the wrestling industry. Before wrestling Striker was a School Teacher, something that would serve him well as he used this as a gimmick when he signed with WWE. Striker had also worked in commentary for WWE from 2008 to 2013. Striker then went over to Lucha Underground where he served as their Lead English Commentator from 2014 to 2018. Striker has also had the pleasure of working internationally for AAA and NJPW as a commentator.

Right now, the details around these turn of events seems to be a bit unclear. Real Rasslin will endeavor to produce updates as they become available.
