The Tweet Says It All! Lio Rush is back people! One word used by the M.O.T.H and the whole world knew he was going to be making his come back! After what some could say was an uneventful AEW run that was also quite turbulent, Rush went on to get injured during PWG’s Battle of Los Angeles tournament that was held earlier in the year. In a terrifying scene, the M.O.T.H of Professional Wrestling was taken from the ring to a nearby hospital where it was revealed by Rush later on that he had suffered an injury to his shoulder, which has seen him out of action ever since.

September 29th, 2022 and the former WWE NXT Cruiserweight Champion tweeted the above message saying he is ready to get back in the ring, revealing that he has been cleared by his medical team for an in-ring return. Then, a short time later, the world learned about his first match booking after his time off with injury.

The British promotion REVPRO is in fact NJPW’s partner propmotion in the UK and the British J Cup is literally the promotions version of NJPW’s Super J Cup, which is a single elimination style tournament that is catered towards Junior Heavyweight and Cruiserweight grapplers. In the past the British J Cup has been won by El Phantasmo, Mike Bailey and Japanese Wrestling Legend Jushin “Thunder” Liger. Thus far the list of names already announced for the tournament are Connor Mills, Will Kaven, Leon Slater and Robbie X, who was just seen at this weekend's 1PW return show, a New Twist of Fate.

It seems that appearing in the British J Cup for REVPRO could be a stepping stone for moving into NJPW’s Junior Heavyweight Division and their corresponding title scene. Lio Rush recently appeared at NJPW’s Capitol Collision show in May this year from Washington D.C, where he cut a promo the only way he knows how, where he mentions names such as Robbie Eagles, Hiromu Takahashi and the current IWGP Junior Heavyweight Champion, Taiji Ishimori!

What do you think? Are you excited to see the Man Of The Hour back?
