Kyle O’Reilly’s NXT Contract due to expire in December
Could we see the former Undisputed Era member become Elite?
Could the prophecy be complete again?
The undisputed elite bay bay?
With Kyle O'Reilly’s NXT contract reportedly set to expire in December, we could see Kyle O'Reilly inside an AEW ring very soon!
Mike Johnson of PWInsider broke the news by reporting that O’Reilly’s deal is up in December. Per Johnson’s report, O’Reilly, a three-time NXT Tag Team Champion, is currently considered to be the “number two babyface” on NXT 2.0, and if he were to leave NXT, it could lead to some major changes for the brand.
While nothing has been said from either camp, it stands to reason that people would instantly assume that Kyle could be heading for AEW. Prior to joining WWE and forming the Undisputed Era with Adam Cole and Bobby Fish, both of whom are now with AEW, O'Reilly was part of successful tag teams with both men, as Future Shock with Adam Cole, and reDRagon with Bobby Fish.
This may not be the only possibly departure from NXT either, as Sean Ross Sapp reported earlier today that a lot of NXT's top tier talent opted not to sign new deals in 2019.
