Kushida has left WWE?

Fightful Selects, Sean Ross Sapp reported on April 18th, 2022 that it was looking like NXT Superstar Kushida would be leaving the company, he wrote “early indications" would suggest that Kushida’s WWE contract expired and it was unclear at this time if a new contract was offered to the former NXT Cruiserweight Champion. Wrestling News Co confirmed the status on Twitter with a tweet stating that Kushida's WWE.com Profile has now been moved to the Alumni section of the website and that her is gone fromj the company.

Kushida’s last match with WWE came about on the March 22nd, 2022 episode of NXT LVL UP, he has also been on somewhat of a losing streak as he lost his last four matches with the company. 

Before signing with WWE, Kushida enjoyed much success over in Japan with New Japan Pro Wrestling, where he is a 6 Time IWGP Junior Heavyweight Champion and a 2 Time IWGP Junior Heavyweight Tag Team Champion. Additionally he is also a winner of the Best of the Super Juniors tournament in both 2015 and 2017, while also winning the Super J Cup in 2016. Kushida also enjoyed success overt in the states before his tenure at WWE, as he also won the ROH World Television Championship once. 

In 2019 Kushida signed with World Wrestling Entertainment and was heavily featured on NXT as well as 205 Live before it was repackaged at NXT LVL UP. Kushida went on to win the NXT Cruiserweight Championship during his time with the Development Brand, which he won in April 2021. The drastic shift in tone that led to NXT 2.0 saw that the title was dropped altogether. Recently Kushida has been featured as a member of Jacket Time alongside Ikeman Jiro on the colourful NXT 2.0.
