The former Kairi Sane as seen in World Wrestling Entertainment, could become the inaugural IWGP Women’s Champion. STARDOM has confirmed that Sane, now going simply by KAIRI will compete in the tournament to crown the champion, and that she has also been given a First Round Bye. KAIRI will face the winner of the Ava White vs. “Alpha Female” Jazzy Gabbert match.

Thew IWGP Women’s Championship Tournament finals will be held at the NJPW X STARDOM Historic X-Over event on November 20th, 2022. KAIRI has been out since August when she tested positive for COVID-19 and thus was forced to miss subsequent shows. KAIRI has not wrestled since STARDOM’s 5STAR Grand Prix even which was held on July 1st, 2022.
