Ring of Honor is set to go on hiatus as of December and is planned to make it's return in the first quarter of 2022. With this in mind, it's been a hot topic amongst wrestling fans worldwide as to where some of the Ring of Honor stars will end up.

As of recently, some of the promotions championships have changed hands, which means we can be almost certain that certain stars such as the newly crowned TV Champion Dalton Castle and new Tag Champions The OGK (Mike Bennett & Matt Taven) as well as World Women's Champion Rok-C, World Champion Bandido and 6-man Tag Champs Shane Taylor Promotions will be staying with Ring of Honor and will be expected to return once Ring of Honor returns.

However, other talent that aren't bound to championships seem to be free to go wherever they wish, as of AEW Full Gear on the 13th November 2021, we have learned that Jay Lethal is now signed to All Elite Wrestling, and it is rumoured that Danhausen, The Briscoes, Jonathan Gresham and others have gained AEW's attention.

However, for Jonathan Gresham, it seems that a move to AEW or any other company may not be on the table as "The Octopus" has confirmed in an interview with Fightful's Sean Ross Sapp that he will remain loyal to Ring of Honor regardless of whether or not he is under contract with them. Sticking to his loyalty, he says:

“Yeah, it definitely has been a huge part of my life,But Ring of Honor, I spoke about it before in our last interview, it changed my life,” said Gresham. “I was on a very different path and different road, getting in trouble and things like that, and then I found Ring of Honor. I was already a wrestling fan, then I found Ring of Honor and then I became obsessed. and I truly believe to change someone’s direction in life, they have to find something that they are just completely obsessed with. And they can’t put it down and can’t stop looking at it. And that kind of get them off that bad road that they’re on.

“And that’s happened with me with Ring of Honor. And so to be in the position I’m in now, it’s almost full circle for me. Win or loss, I have accomplished more than my dream.”

With Ring of Honor set to return in 2022, we will have to wait patiently to find out what happens to not only Ring of Honor but also Jonathan Gresham. Hopefully when he returns he'll be given a huge title push once again!

Personally, I'm happy that he is dedicated to Ring of Honor as it means there will always be at least one huge star to push the promotion forward, but we'd love to hear what you think! Sound off in the comments!
