As reported by Fightful Select, Current IMPACT Knockout Tag Team Champions ''The IInspiration'' were contacted by wrestling giants WWE to offer them an appearance in this years Royal Rumble match.

''The IInspiration'' (formally known as the IIconics) have turned down the offer as they felt that making a return wouldn't be the right timing. They went on to say that they wouldn't be interested in making a one night only appearance and are happy where they are and what they're achieving.

Cassie Lee (fka Payton Royce) and Jess McKay (fka Billie Kay) were former WWE womens tag team champions and held the belts for a number of months.

These are just two of a long list of releases in the past couple of years that have been contacted by the WWE to appear in the annual PPV event.

Such names include, Mickie James (who was on the list of the 2021 releases) Summer Rae, Michelle McCool, The Bella Twins and Lita.

With the Royal Rumble quickly approaching, it would appear that the WWE are trying to pull rabbits out of the hat to make some surprising shocks.

The Royal Rumble PPV has been known to bring back legends and produce memorable moments.
