Former IMPACT! Knockouts champion Taya Valkyrie has reportedly signed a deal with WWE.

According to PWinsider, Valkyrie has agreed to terms on a deal with the WWE. She will debut on NXT, where she is expected to be in the next WWE performance class.

Valkyrie was backstage at the last NXT T.V tapings. However it's unknown at this time if she was just there to spectate or finalise contract details.

Triple H noted recently that the next WWE performance class will have the largest "quotient of female talent to date"

During a recent virtual meet and greet, Valkyrie had spoken about her exit from IMPACT and spoke about what the future may hold for her wrestling career.

Here's what she said below:

“Well, I really enjoy both (AEW and WWE) products. Obviously I’m a wrestling fan, always have been. There’s a lot of people that get into wrestling [that] are wrestling fans, surprise, and honestly, I don’t know what’s gonna happen next for me because as a lot of people don’t realize is that I have been signed for about eight and a half years from AAA into Lucha Underground into IMPACT and this is actually my first-ever time in my career as a free agent. So, it’s a really important time for me to really think about what’s important for me, for my family and make the best decision moving forward for my career. So, we will see. It will all play out, don’t worry.”

Valkyrie's IMPACT contract had come to an end at the end of 2020, she made one last appearance for the company last month in a backstage promo. She admitted she was the mastermind behind Jon E. Bravo's storyline murder, before she was escorted out of the building.

While it's unknown if she will keep her ring name, as she has trademarked the name Taya Valkyrie, to be used in professional wrestling, when she officially begins in December. With it being trademarked it's wondered if WWE will give her a new name or not.

She's currently the holder of the AAA Reina De Reinas championship where she beat Tessa Blanchard back in 2019. She had previously held the title with a record setting reign of 914 days, but was defeated back in 2017.

At this point, it's unknown how AAA will handle Valkyrie's WWE signing. Her husband John Hennigan, better known to WWE fans as John Morrison, is currently assigned to RAW and is successful himself in the WWE.

So, this writer would call this a big signing, what's your thoughts? Let us know in the comments below.
