AEW Reportedly Planning To Tour With Live Crowds Starting In July.
The COVID-19 pandemic has been a turbulent year for professional wrestling, and indeed the whole world, with the majority of Promotions being unable to perform in front of live crowds. The atmosphere of being at a live event has forced fans to not be able to enjoy professional wrestling in the same way they were accustomed to.
However, there is hope on the horizon, with WWE hosting their annual show, Wrestlemania, and fans being able to attend for the first time since 2019, this gives hope for other promotions to have live crowds at their events.
Speaking on his podcast, Grillin' JR, Jim Ross has said that AEW are planning to "Aggressively" start touring later this year in July.
Here's what he had to say:
“-AEW is- making some changes also. We’re adding more content here sooner than later with another show. We’re getting our schedule together. Looks like we’re going back on the road pretty aggressively, beginning in July. getting back in front of a live audience is a blessing. I can’t wait. It will help everybody’s work. You can’t help but feed off of the adrenaline of the people and the audience surrounding you. Should be cool.”
Since the pandemic has struck, AEW has been forced to do their weekly Dynamite shows in Jacksonville, Florida at the Daily's Place arena.
It would be good to see promotions have live crowds once again, bringing back the magic which makes professional wrestling.
